WiZclick to Rhythm

WiZclick has the potential to be an incredibly useful feature.
However, the first mode should allow "Rhythm" as a light mode.
Flip the light on and the bulbs will sync to the rhythm that is defined.
Say its late at night - that first flip will give me what I'd expect - warm, dim light.
But what if I want to carry something up the stairs? I want to WiZclick my way to full brightness.

Hi Mark! WiZclick to rhythm is a bit of a complicated topic :) This is not to say we don't recognize the value of it - we've thought about it countless times - but the realization can be a little complex.
Currently, rhythms already work with the switch. If you have a rhythm enabled and power on the light, it will adopt the rhythm. However, you will notice it doesn't do so right away, but only after a few seconds - the time lights need to reconnect to the local network, the internet, and the NTP server to check what time it is - so they can get the right hue based on the time.
As part of our automation revamp, we may indeed decide to address "rhythm-like" behavior as a light mode, but we will still need to build a fallback so that your WiZclick doesn't become half broken if for some reason the lights cannot get the time.
In short: we will quite likely come up with something enabling you to do this, but details are to be confirmed :)
Same principle for WiZclick to Scene: we would need to build a command propagation from the light you power on to the rest of the lights in the Scene - which should not be a problem. But there will also be a delay because we can't propagate before the light has reconnected to the network.
We'll keep working on this :)

WiZclick to Scenes would be another game changer.
Flip the light switch twice and invoke an entire mood change by allowing a scene for the second mode.
