One thing that happens a fair amount due to just fat fingers and maybe not paying full attention to what I'm doing is I find when I try and control individual lights to turn them on or off, I will often just outright miss the button slightly. The result is that instead of turning the device on or off, I accidentally go into the menu to the controls for that specific light. This happens because of the area where my phone registers the tap being ever so slightly off of the toggle button, resulting it it registering the tap on the light itself, rather than the switch which rests on top of it. I believe this issue comes up because the area where you have to tap to toggle the lights is simply too small. I propose instead, we draw a clear line down side of these buttons. Tapping anywhere on the left side of the line will take you into the controls for the light. Tapping on the right side of the line toggles the switch. (The dimmer slider remains unchanged). By doing this, it becomes much easier to use the switch, and a little more difficult to accidentally hit the wrong thing. Visually, the line could be accented with some nice shading to make the two zones look different. In my attached example, you can see the difference. The switch to toggle the light on and off is anywhere in the slightly bluer area.
